Quest students at West Lauderdale Elementary School made an $1800 donation to the local chapter of the Red Cross.
The money was raised during the school's recent art auction.
Students created the art, then sold it to the highest bidder.
School officials say it was a big success.
"We had parents, teachers, students, community members come and bid on the art work," said Sabrina Dalton. "And all the bidding began at a dollar, and the highest bids probably ranged up to about $20-25 for the pieces of art."
This is the second year that Quest students at West Lauderdale have done an art auction for the Red Cross.
