Tuesday was all about music for children at the MSU Riley Center.
The Meridian Symphony Orchestra offered the opportunity for over 60 children to learn about some of the different instruments used in an orchestra.
Organizers say the event is about seeing the instruments up close and actually getting to play them.
"It's so important for the children to manipulate the instruments. It's very important in instilling in them a love for music, and a love for wanting to participate in music," said symphony board member Patti Coxwell.
The Symphony Fun Fest has grown each year. The MSO hosts this event for children ages 5 and up.
