The University of West Alabama has a new dorm for the freshmen students.
Faculty, students, and parents got a first hand look at the newly constructed dormitory on Thursday, named after Dr. Robert B. Gilbert, an English professor who served as a chair of the department of languages and literature.
The newly constructed building has 116,000 square feet, with four stories and can hold 459 freshman students.
As part of the ceremony, Dr. Gilbert's family was there to witness the the new hall.
