MCC Baseball Splits Road Doubleheader

The Meridian Community College baseball team returned to the diamond on Saturday by traveling to Selma, AL to battle Wallace-Selma and Faulkner State. MCC would come away with a road split by defeating Wallace-Selma in Game One by a final of 11-5, but dropped the second game of the day to Faulkner State by a final of 5-4 in extra innings.


Deandre Burnett scored 28 points, Breein Tyree added 15 and Mississippi beat Missouri 80-77 on Saturday.


Jeff Roberson posted career highs with 23 points and five 3-pointers as Vanderbilt extended its longest winning streak of the season to four games with a 77-48 win over Mississippi State on Saturday.


Dalton Sanderford recorded a Double-Double with 21 points and 16 points to help power the Rams to a State Title.
