The Newton High School football team picked up a very important win last week over Union, and they are hoping that victory could help propel them into the post season.
Last Friday's 25-0 shutout of the Yellowjackets was the first region win for the Tigers since head coach Tim Moore took over the program three years ago.
It's Newton's first three-win season since 2004, and they will try to carry that momentum into Kemper County this week.
The Tigers and Wildcats will kick off at 7:00.
