Brandon Landers passed for 348 yards and a touchdown to lead Grambling State to a 30-20 victory over Jackson State and its fifth straight win.
Landers connected with Clyde Edwards for a 49-yard touchdown in the second quarter that put Grambling ahead 17-10.
Jackson State tied the game at 17-17 three minutes later on a short run from Erik Haw.
But Grambling (6-1, 6-0 SWAC) got a 25-yard field goal from Manuel with one second left in the first half to break take the lead again.
Grambling's defense did the rest after the that, holding Jackson State (4-3,4-1) to just 25 yards rushing.
Grambling racked up 471 yards of total offense and remains the only SWAC team without a conference loss.
Jackson State saw its four game winning streak snapped. It was the Tigers first conference loss of the season.
