Wesley Carroll threw for two touchdowns and Mississippi State forced a season-high six turnovers in a 31-14 victory over Number 14 Kentucky Saturday.
Kentucky quarterback Andre Woodson was sacked three times and threw three second-half interceptions.
Mississippi State won on the road for the third team this year, including another signature victory last month at Auburn. The Bulldogs hadn't won three road games since their Independence Bowl season of 2000, the last time they appeared in postseason play.
Carroll, a freshman, threw for 152 yards and doubled his career TD total.
Christian Ducre rushed for a career-high 119 yards, and his 34-yard TD run in the fourth quarter was the Bulldogs' longest running play of the year.
