The Meridian Wildcats will be without quarterback Tyler Russell for another week.
He injured his knee a couple of weeks ago, and hasn't been given clearance by doctors to hit the field again.
Hamp Glover will start for the second straight week as MHS hosts Biloxi in the first round of the playoffs Friday.
"As his knee responds, that will determine when he'll be able to play," said Meridian coach Larry Weems. "He's obviously not full speed or close to it right now. We'd love for him to play, but until then, we won't. We do that for all the players, you've got to look out for their well-being. He's working hard to get back on the field so hopefully he'll be with us soon."
