The Green Bay Packers defeated the St. Louis Rams 33-14 this afternoon in a game that saw Brett Favre (FAHRV) become the NFL's career passing yardage leader, eclipsing Dan Marino.
The three-time NFL MVP broke Marino's mark of 61,361 yards with a seven-yard toss to Donald Driver early in the fourth quarter of the Packers' game at St. Louis.
Favre threw for 227 yards and two touchdowns, earning Green Bay a first-round bye for the first time since 1997.
Steven Jackson had 143 yards on 23 carries for the Rams, who are 3-11 for the season. The Rams fizzled after tying it at 14 on Jackson's 46-yard run early in the second quarter.
