Richard Hendrix had 18 points and eight rebounds to help lead Alabama to a 75-65 win over Texas-Pan American Wednesday night.
Alabama (7-3) was leading by 21 points with less than five minutes to go when Texas-Pan American (6-8) went on an 11-point run to narrow the margin to 10 points.
The Crimson Tide was leading by 14 points with 3:09 left in the first half, but the Broncs pulled to within six points on a Paul Stoll layup at the buzzer, bringing the score to 40-34. Alabama kept a healthy lead throughout the second half despite allowing Texas-Pan American's 11-point run at the end of the game.
Mykal Riley scored 14 points for the Tide. Alonzo Gee added 11 more and Brandon Hollinger chipped in with 10.
Zach Trader led the Broncs with 14 points. Brian Burrell helped out with 14 and Nathan Hawkins added 11.
