Dwayne Curtis scored 21 points and Mississippi held DePaul without a field goal in the final eight and a half minutes of a 69-63 victory over the Blue Demons in the San Juan Shootout Thursday.
Kenny Williams had 10 points and a career-high 16 rebounds, Chris Warren scored 11 points and David Huertas added 10 for the undefeated Rebels (9-0).
Curtis was 7-for-8 from the free-throw line.
Draelon Burns scored 17 points, Karron Clarke had 11 points and 11 rebounds, and Wesley Green added 10 points for DePaul (2-6).
Burns was 12-for-12 from the line, but the Blue Demons shot just 6-for-22 from the field in the second half.
Clarke hit two free throws to give DePaul its last lead at 61-60 with 4:11 left in the game.
Curtis' layup 17 seconds later gave the Rebels the lead for good, and he made two free throws with two and a half minutes left to stretch Mississippi's advantage to 64-61.
