Mississippi State is still hopeful that defensive end Titus Brown will be healthy enough to play in the Liberty Bowl.
At the end of November, the Conerly Trophy finalist had surgery to remove cartilage chips from his right knee. Brown has only engaged in light exercise since having that procedure.
Head Coach Sylvester Croom said Brown might be limited in Memphis, but he still looks for him to hit the gridiron.
