Eniel Polynice scored 20 points and Chris Warren added 19 to help Mississippi remain undefeated with an 84-77 win over La Salle in the San Juan Shootout Friday.
Dwayne Curtis and David Huertas added 14 points apiece for the Rebels (10-0), who are off to their best start since 2000-01, when they won their first 11 games.
Warren went 4-of-12 from 3-point range to help Mississippi win another close game. Each of the Rebels' last five wins have been by fewer than ten points.
Yves Mekongo-Mbala and Rodney Green had 15 points each for La Salle (4-5). It was the first time the Explorers ever played Mississippi, and the first matchup with a Southeast Conference team since La Salle faced Alabama in 1999.
Mississippi led 42-29 at the half.
The Rebels face No. 15 Clemson Saturday.
