The Bowl will feature a coach on his way out and a program seemingly on its way up.

Southern Miss (7-5) wants to send longtime coach Jeff Bower out with a win in tomorrow's game at noon at Legion Field. Number 20 Cincinnati (9-3) is trying to reach double digits in victories for only the second time.

Bower isn't asking his team to win one for him. Bower was forced to resign last month after 17 seasons as head coach at his alma mater. But linebacker Gerald McRath says the players are motivated to send Bower and his assistant coaches out with a victory.

Cincinnati's Brian Kelly is in his first year coaching the Bearcats. He says the team is working to reach 10 wins and to be the first Cincinnati team to finish the season ranked.
