Alabama coach Nick Saban has been taking full advantage of his current team to attract future players.
He has made a point of complimenting his players in recent weeks on the great job they've done hosting prospective recruits on campus.
Recruiting weekends are when prospects make their one official all-expenses-paid visit to campus. They generally stay two nights and spend more time with the players than with coaches or academic staff.
While it's not unusual to involve current players in recruiting efforts, constant praise of the current players is not often heard.
But it seems to be working. Alabama's 2008 recruiting class is ranked No. 2 nationally by Rivals.com and No. 3 by Scout.com.
