Colt McCoy and Jamaal Charles helped 17th-ranked Texas earn a 52-34 win over Number-12 Arizona State in the Holiday Bowl at San Diego.

McCoy threw for a touchdown and ran for another to help the Longhorns end the year 10-3. Texas even scored on one of McCoy's four fumbles as Jermichael Finley recovered in the end zone for a touchdown.

McCoy was 21-of-31 for 174 yards through the air. He also ran 16 times for 84 yards.

Charles carried 27 times for 161 yards and two touchdowns as the Longhorns dropped the Sun Devils to 10-and-3.

Sun Devils quarterback Rudy Carpenter was intercepted twice and sacked four times while completing just 18 of his 32 passes for 174 yards.
