Giants Defeat Cowboys To Advance To The NFC Title Game

The New York Giants have earned a trip to Green Bay to play for the NFC Championship next Sunday.
The Giants kept Dallas out of the end zone in the second half of a 21-17 upset over the Cowboys at Texas Stadium. The G-Men clinched it when R.W. McQuarters intercepted Tony Romo in the end zone on fourth-and-11 with 9 seconds left. Romo and the Cowboys were blanked following the opening drive of the second half, which ended with Nick Folk's 34-yard field goal that put Dallas ahead 17-14.
The Cowboys kept their 3-point lead until Brandon Jacobs scored on a 1-yard run with 13:29 remaining. The touchdown sent the Giants to their ninth straight road win since a season-opening loss at Texas Stadium.
Eli Manning completed 12 of his 18 passes for 163 yards, including a pair of TD tosses to Amani Toomer. Toomer opened the scoring with a 52-yard touchdown reception, and tied the game with a 4-yard grab late in the first half.
Romo was under pressure through most of the second half. He finished 18-of-36 for 201 yards, one touchdown and one interception.
Marion Barber ran for 129 yards and a touchdown for the Cowboys, who had beaten the Giants twice during the regular season.
