Wallace Gilberry is spending the week in meetings, interviews and practices before NFL scouts and coaches, at least when he's not filling out often lengthy questionnaires from various franchises.
Gilberry and his former Crimson Tide teammates, receiver DJ Hall and cornerback Simeon Castille, are hoping to make an impression for prospective employers leading up to Saturday's game at Ladd-Peebles Stadium.
So are cornerbacks Patrick Lee of Auburn and Leodis McKelvin of Troy, and Auburn tight end Cole Bennett. All are trying to secure spots in the first few rounds of the draft.
Those six are the only players from state colleges participating in the Senior Bowl since Auburn defensive end Quentin Groves bowed out citing a shoulder injury.
