MSU's Gordon Named Wooden Award Candidate

It has been quite a week for Mississippi State's Jamont Gordon. He was first named the SEC Player of the Week, then Saturday he and the Bulldogs knocked off number 17 Ole Miss.

Now, he is among the midseason top 30 candidates for the John Wooden Award. The honor is considered the greatest given in college basketball.

Gordon is currently sixth in the SEC in scoring with an average of 17.6 points per game. He is also fifth in assists and tied for 13th in rebounding.
