The University of Mississippi says donors have already given or pledged more than half of the $12 million the school needs to build a basketball practice facility.
Officials with school's athletic fundraising group made the announcement today (Monday).
The 46,000-square-foot facility will have practice courts, locker rooms, meeting spaces, film rooms, players' lounges and coaches' offices for the men's and women's basketball teams.
Groundbreaking for the new building is to be held this spring, with construction expected to take 18 months.
