Grace finished with 17 points for Newton (35-4), the Class 2A champion. Newton will play Class 4A champion New Hope in Friday's semifinals of the tournament, which pits Mississippi's state champions against each other.
East Webster (24-10), the Class 1A state champion, had tied it 64-64 on two Jermaine Liggins free throws with 28 seconds left.
The Wolverines were led by Johnthan Banks, who had 31 points, 14 rebounds and eight blocks.
