Brett Basham and Logan Power both had four hits and Mississippi had 21 total in a 15-6 win over Mississippi State on Friday in the Southeastern Conference opener for both teams.
Rebels starter Lance Lynn struck out seven and walked one over six scoreless innings to remain undefeated and pick up his fourth win.
Ole Miss (12-4, 1-0 SEC) built a 10-9 lead after three innings and chased Mississippi State (7-8, 0-1) starter Forrest Moore (1-2) after he allowed eight runs on six hits and three walks.
Power was 4-for-5 with a home run and three runs batted in. Basham went 4-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored.
The teams play again Saturday and Sunday.
