Alabama-Mississippi Girls All-Star Game
Hoover's Lyndsay Harris had four 3-pointers in the second half -- including two in the final 30 seconds to send the game into overtime -- to lead Alabama to an 89-86 win over Mississippi in the Alabama-Mississippi girls All-Star basketball game Thursday.

The taller Mississippi dominated the rebounding to stay close, but the quicker Alabama team found opportunities in the running game to earn the victory.

After Harris' heroics sent the game into overtime, Alabama took control with three straight points from Davidson's Jasmine Bendolph, including a running 6-footer with 41 seconds left giving the team an 87-84 lead.

Mississippi MVP LaSondra Barrett cut it to 87-86 on a lay-up with 20 seconds left, but Spring Garden's Paige Anderson converted a pair of free throws for the final margin.

Alabama-Mississippi Boys All-Star Game
R.C. Hatch's Frankie Sullivan, who was named Alabama MVP, had 27 points to lead Alabama to a 101-99 victory over Mississippi in the Alabama-Mississippi boys All-Star basketball game Thursday.

Alabama turned up the defensive intensity in the final minutes. Trailing 89-84 after a pair of free throws from Mississippi's Chris Wallace of Wingfield, Alabama went on a 15-4 run to earn the win.

The Alabama victory evened the series at nine wins each.
