OXFORD, Miss. (AP) -- Tim Smalling hit three home runs and had a career high six RBIs, but it was a RBI single by Ben Tschepikow in the top of the 10th inning that led Arkansas to 13-11 victory Saturday over Mississippi in the first game of a double-header.
The Razorbacks (25-18, 8-11 SEC) took an 8-1 lead into the bottom of the fifth inning, but a determined Ole Miss (28-16, 11-9 SEC) team chipped away at the Arkansas lead with four runs in the bottom of the fifth and two in the seventh, eighth and ninth innings to force extra innings.
Cody Overbeck had hit a grand slam home run as the Rebels' rally came up short.
