HATTIESBURG, Miss. (AP) -- Brian Dozier and Michael Ewing helped Southern Miss come from behind to beat Houston 7-6 Sunday.
Dozier lined a bases loaded two-RBI single to right field to tie the game in the bottom of the eighth inning and Ewing came in to score on a throwing error by Houston catcher Austin Goolsby.
Southern Miss (31-13, 9-6 Conference USA) swept the series.
Houston (26-17, 8-7 Conference USA) had tied the game and later retook the lead with solo home runs in the fourth and fifth innings by Bryan Tully and Jake Stewart.
J.R. Ballinger (4-0) worked 2.2 scoreless innings, allowing only two hits to pick up the fourth win of the season.
Houston's Tully (3-3) took the loss.
