RICHMOND, Va. (AP) -- Denny Hamlin earned the pole for Saturday night's NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Richmond International Raceway. Hamlin is from Chesterfield, Virginia, about a 15-minute drive from the Richmond oval.
Hamlin's Toyota will have the Chevrolet of Mark Martin on the outside for Saturday night's Sprint Cup Series race. Martin Truex Junior and rookie Patrick Carpentier (pah-TREEK' kar-pen-tee-AY') are in the second row. Reed Sorenson and Juan Pablo Montoya are next
