Mark your calendars for Thursday, June 5th. That’s the date for the annual Coaches Golf Tournament (The Steve Hull Memorial).
This year’s tournament will again take place at the spectacular Dancing Rabbit Golf Course on the Pearl River Resort. The format will be a four-person scramble with a 10 a.m. shotgun start. The tournament will be flighted with prizes going to the top 3 teams in each flight. We are asking that you check-in no later than 9:00 a.m.
The cost is $500.00 per team, which is tax deductible. The entry fee includes golf, lunch, a T-shirt, goody bag and door prizes. There will also be closet to the pin prizes on all par three’s and a longest driving hole. We will also be offering $10,000 for a hole-in-one and be giving away golf outings at premier courses in Mississippi and Alabama.
We have also blocked off 50 hotel rooms for Wednesday, June 4th at The Golden Moon Casino for $59.00 plus 7% sales tax. If you wish to take advantage of this, call 1-866-44PEARL (447-3275) and ask for the reservations department. Once you have an agent, tell them that your group code is “STEF08A”. All room reservations must be made by May 14th. There will be special discount tickets available for Geyser Falls Water Park. Contact Lindsey Hall for additional details.
There will be a hospitality room on June 4th from 9 p.m. –until. This is a presidential suite at the Silverstar. Snacks, free beverages (beer/cokes/water/liquor) will be provided. Prior to the hospitality suite, a reception/registration party at the Golden Moon VIP Ballroom will be held beginning at 6PM. At the reception free heavy hors’douevres and a cash bar will be available, along with a silent auction. Golfers may also pre-register for the golf tournament, buy mulligans, and receive goody bags. The pre-registration will clear up some the morning registration clutter. At the reception there will be door prizes and giveaways.
So as you can see, this should be a terrific event. But I encourage you to enter as soon as possible as I anticipate a full field. We will again be utilizing both The Azaleas and The Oaks courses. The first twenty teams to register will have their pick of either course to play.
Please return the enclosed form and your entry fee. Deadline to enter is Friday, May 30, but we could be full by then. Make checks payable to the “Steve Hull Memorial Fund.”
All proceeds from the tournament will go directly into a college fund that has been set up for Steve’s two children, Trex and Bailey. If you can’t golf, we still encourage you to make a donation in Steve’s behalf.
