LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) -- Cody Overbeck took a bases-loaded hit-by-pitch in the top of the 11th inning to give Mississippi a 7-5 win in 11 innings Saturday against Kentucky in Lexington.
Kentucky (41-15, 16-14 Southeastern Conference) tied it 5-5 in the eighth, but Mississippi (34-22, 15-15) started the last inning with two singles and a walk to load the bases.
Reliever Brock Baber struck Overbeck on the shoulder, sending the game-winning run home. Matt Smith drew a bases-loaded walk for the final score.
Scott Bittle (6-1) earned the win for Mississippi with 10 strikeouts, five hits and one run. Andrew Albers took the loss for Kentucky with two hits on two runs.
