Chino Suarez, owner of San Marcos Mexican Restaurant held off Lindsey
Hall from WTOK-TV on the final lap winning round two of Hollywood's
Paint Shack Challenge Saturday night at Whynot Motorsports Park.
"This was great" Suarez said. "I may have to get me a car and race next
year". Both drivers put on a great show for the fans as they traded
paint with one lap to go. "This was a lot of fun" Hall said. " I hope we
can do this again in the future".
Scott Dedwylder pick up his first feature win of the season in a wild
and entertaining NeSmith Chevrolet weekly Late Model series. Dedwylder
started third and worked the outside groove passing Jim McDuffie and
Larry Murphy to take the win. Murphy finished second with McDuffie third.
Tim Rutledge won his second race of the season in a wild finish in the
Open Wheel Modified feature. Rutledge and Randy King tangled coming off
the final turn to the checkered flag causing King to get air born in
front of Rutledge spinning to a stop right before the flag stand as
Rutledge took the win. Donnie Bean finished second and Kyle Rutledge third.
David James won his seventh Heavy Metal Street Stock feature race over
Kyle Rutledge and third place finisher Kyle Mars.
Jennifer Shelton won her fifth Mini Stock feature race of the season
over Johnny Pearson and Bill Bunyard.
Robi Dearing continued his hot streak in the Stinger class winning his
fourth feature in a row. Tim Dees finished second with Chris Woodham third.
Randy and Nickie Ward won the two man Cruiser feature.
