Accident Claims Alcorn State Athlete

Alcorn State University officials say a traffic accident has claimed the life of freshman football player Ladarrius Adams of Ft. Myers, Fla. he was recruited as a running back.

The accident, which occurred on Highway 61 south near Fayette early Friday morning, also injured D'Angelo Buckner and Isaac Williams.

The university said Buckner and Williams, both of Clinton, Miss., are also incoming freshmen and members of the football team. They were recruited as corner back and offensive lineman, respectively.

The Mississippi Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
