Mississippi defensive end Greg Hardy has had outpatient surgery to repair a stress fracture in his right foot.
Ole Miss head athletic trainer Tim Mullins says the procedure was performed Monday at the Oxford Surgery Center.
The Millington, Tenn., native is expected to miss six to eight weeks. Mullins said the surgery went well.
Last year Hardy topped the SEC in sacks with 10 and ranked second in tackles for loss with 18.5.
