HATTIESBURG, Miss. (AP) -- Southern Mississippi reports record ticket sales as the Golden Eagles prepare for an Aug. 30 season opener under new coach Larry Fedora.
Fedora was hired last December.
The school says it had sold more than 10,600 season tickets sold as of Thursday morning, surpassing the previous mark of 10,543 set in 2007.
Athletic director Richard Giannini says there has been "fantastic" fan response to the new coaching staff and the schools new premium seating options in place at Roberts Stadium.
