Senior injured Mississippi State linebacker Jamar Chaney says he'll apply for a medical redshirt that would give him eligibility in 2009. Chaney broke his left leg in the Bulldogs' loss to Louisiana Tech on August 30th. Chaney says he's made no decision on whether he wants to play next year but wants the medical redshirt option. Chaney had started 27 consecutive games for State before the injury. He was the team's leading tackler in 2007 with 89 stops.
