JACKSON, Miss. (AP) -- The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks is asking bowhunters to record all deer observed while hunting, the amount of time spent hunting and the counties where the hunts occur. It's all part of its statewide effort to learn buck/doe and doe/fawn ratios. Participants should record the appropriate data during the 2008 archery season and return the book by December 1st to the agency. Results of the observation data will be posted on mdwfp.com/deer after analysis is complete.
