HATTIESBURG, Miss. (AP) -- Southern Miss football coach Larry Fedora has suspended cornerback Eddie Willingham indefinitely for an unspecified violation of team rules.
Willingham will continue to practice with the team but is out of Saturday's game against East Carolina and could finish his career on suspension. The senior started five of Southern Miss' first six games, but sprained his ankle has played in just one game since.
Thursday's suspension of Willingham comes just days after Fedora lifted penalties levied against offensive tackle Calvin Wilson and defensive back Jamison Hughes, who sat out two games each for violating team rules.
