OXFORD, Miss. (AP) -- Chris Warren scored 25 points and David Huertas added 22 points in Mississippi's 78-70 victory over Morgan State on Saturday.
The Rebels (5-1), who trailed by seven points early in the second half, used second-half surges of 15-0 and 14-0 to put away the Bears (2-5).
Huertas and Warren scored seven of the final nine baskets. The tandem also had nine assists and eight rebounds.
The Rebels dominated the final 8:38 defensively, limiting Morgan State to a pair of baskets.
Ole Miss shot 49.1 percent (28 of 57) from the field while limiting the Bears to 38.6 percent (27 of 70). The Rebels also hit 15 of 16 from the free-throw line.
Reggie Holmes and Rogers Barnes scored 17 points apiece for Morgan State. Kevin Thompson added 14 points and a game-high 11 rebounds. The Bears took a 43-35 rebounding edge, including 21 offensive boards.
