TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) -- Alonzo Gee scored 20 points and Alabama hit seven free throws in the last 30 seconds to propel the Crimson Tide to a 66-63 win against Yale on Sunday night.
Senario Hillman scored 18 points, Ronald Steele added 16 and JaMychal Green chipped in with 10 for the Crimson Tide (8-3). Gee also notched a double-double, grabbing 10 rebounds in the game.
Ross Morin led the Bulldogs (2-7) with 20 points and Travis Pinick added 17.
Alabama shot 41.8 percent from the field (23 of 55) compared to a 36.2 percent mark (25 of 69) for Yale.
Alabama led 36-25 at halftime but Yale fought back in the second half.
Down 45-27 with 15:45 to play in the second half, Yale went on a 10-2 run over the next four minutes and another 13-4 run to pull within 59-57 with 50 seconds to play. But Gee, Hillman and Steele all hit late free throws to seal the win.
