With four conference teams left to play, the SEC is 3-1 so far on the bowl year. New Year's Eve saw two mild upsets add to the conference win total. Vanderbilt kicked a late field goal to top Boston College in the Music City Bowl and LSU dominated Georgia Tech in the Chik-Fil-A Bowl.
New Year's Day kicked off with South Carolina losing big to Iowa in the Outback Bowl, and it looked for some time like Georgia would drop their Capital One Bowl contest with Michigan State, but Matthew Stafford and the Dawgs rallied to beat the Spartans, and gave the conference their 3rd bowl win of the season.
The biggest games for the SEC are yet to come, January 2nd brings a Cotton Bowl battle between Ole Miss and Texas Tech, and a Sugar Bowl matchup between SEC West champ Alabama and unbeaten Utah. Kentucky will face East Carolina in the Liberty Bowl early next week, before Florida closes the bowl season against Oklahoma in the BCS title game.
