FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) -- Dee Bost scored 13 of his 17 points in the second half, and Mississippi State snapped Arkansas' 10-game winning streak with a 70-56 win over the Razorbacks on Saturday night.
Arkansas (12-2, 0-1) had surged into Southeastern Conference play with victories over Oklahoma and Texas, but the Razorbacks couldn't shoot well enough to keep pace in their league opener. The Hogs went 3-of-22 from 3-point range. Mississippi State was 11-of-27.
Barry Stewart scored 17 points for the Bulldogs, and Jarvis Varnado added 16 points and nine rebounds.
Michael Washington had 18 points and 15 rebounds for Arkansas.
The Razorbacks led 41-37 in the second half when Stewart made a three-pointer to start a 13-0 Mississippi State run.
The Bulldogs (11-5, 1-0) raced out to a 10-2 lead early and led 34-32 after a physical first half.
