Mississippi point guard Terrico White has a bruised knee and could be available for Tuesday's home game against Kentucky.
An MRI showed the freshman had no ligament or structural damage, so coach Andy Kennedy said Monday that White's status will be a game-time decision.
White injured the knee early in Saturday's 82-71 loss at South Carolina. He was able to play the rest of the first half, but couldn't return to finish the game.
If White can't play, the point guard duties will fall exclusively to Will Bogan, another freshman. Both were pressed into action when Chris Warren was lost for the season after tearing a ligament, the third season-ending knee injury of the year for the team.
