ATHENS, Ga. (AP) -- Porsha Phillips scored 18 points as Georgia beat Mississippi State 69-57 on Sunday.
Christy Marshall and Angel Robinson scored 13 apiece for Georgia (15-7, 5-2 Southeastern Conference), which won its fourth straight game and sixth in its last seven.
Alexis Rack led Mississippi State (16-6, 3-4) with 18 points, and Robin Porter added 12.
Led by Phillips' eight points in the first 3 minutes, Georgia bolted to an 11-0 lead. Georgia led 37-20 by halftime.
But Mississippi State put together a 17-2 run over a five-minute span midway through the second half, closing to within two at 48-46 after Porter's jumper in the lane. However, a 3-pointer by Georgia's Ashley Houts and a three-point play by Marshall halted the comeback.
Georgia hit a school-record 21 of 22 free throws in the game.
