Mississippi State point guard Dee Bost has been named the Southeastern Conference's freshman of the week for the second time after leading the Bulldogs to wins over Kentucky and Arkansas.
Bost, a 6 foot, 2 Concord, N.C., native, set career highs with 25 points and six 3-pointers in the team's come-from-behind win over Arkansas. He also had seven assists.
He added 10 points, four assists and three steals in a win at Kentucky, just Mississippi State's second victory at Rupp Arena.
Bost averaged 17.5 points, 5.5 assists and 3.5 rebounds in the two wins. LSU's Tasmin Mitchell was named SEC player of the week.
