The Meridian Community College baseball team continued their winning streak Tuesday afternoon at Alabama Southern. After winning three straight over the weekend MCC defeated Alabama Southern to carry their winning streak to four games and an overall record of 4-2.
In the first of a two game double header MCC shutout Alabama Southern 6 to 0.
Cody Thompson (1-0) threw a complete game for the Eagles with six strikeouts and gave up just three hits.
At the plate, MCC was fueled offensively by Corey Dickerson and William Beckwith who each had a solo home-run. But the signature hit of the game belonged to Mississippi State commit, Wesley Thigpen, who's grand slam put the game way for MCC. Jonathan Pace also had two singles at the plate for MCC.
