Mississippi point guard Terrico White has been named the Southeastern Conference's freshman of the week for the third time this season.
White averaged 25 points and 4.5 rebounds per game last week. He had a career-high 29 points with seven rebounds, two blocks and two steals in a 98-91 overtime win at Arkansas. He scored 25 of those points after halftime. It was the most points by a freshman since the 1995-96 season.
The 6-foot-5 Memphis, Tenn., native followed that with 21 points against Mississippi State in an 82-80 loss.
