SAN ANTONIO (AP) -- Johannah Leedham scored 28 points and had six assists to help lead Franklin Pierce to a 58-39 victory over Delta State Wednesday night in the NCAA Division II semifinals.
Franklin Pierce's stifling defense limited Delta State to 30 percent shooting.
Leedham hit 11-of-22 from the field. Her older sister, Jennifer, scored nine points and had five steals.
Delta State was led by Veronica Walker's 13 points. Bug Cooper had 12.
Franklin Pierce (29-5) will play Minnesota State-Mankato (31-2) Friday in the championship game, the first national championship appearance for both schools. The Mavericks defeated Alaska-Anchorage 83-60 earlier Wednesday.
Franklin Pierce, which has won 13 straight, led by five points three minutes into the second half. But the Ravens held Delta State scoreless during the next nine minutes while going on an 11-0 run to take command.
