Old friends Clark Hicks and Ollie Brock weren't going to let a little thing like the distance of several thousand of miles stop them from fulfilling a childhood pact Sunday.
When the pair were high school students in McComb, Miss., 25 years ago, they swore that if the New Orleans Saints ever made it to the NFC Championship Game, they would attend.
These days Hicks lives in Hattiesburg, Miss., and Brock is in London, England. Nevertheless, they are honored the pact to be at Soldier Field
for the Saints-Bears game.
Hicks and Brock talked on the phone as the Saints knocked off the Eagles to advance and bought tickets online as soon as the matchup was set, according to www.hattiesburgamerican.com.
