The placekicker for East Mississippi Community College in Scooba Friday signed a national letter of intent with Jacksonville State University in Anniston, Ala. JSU won the title in the Ohio Valley Conference this year.
Will Moseley, 20, had four kicks 50 yards or longer this season, including a 55 yarder. He also kicked the winning field goal in the
Mississippi junior college all-star game earlier this month in which the North defeated the South 10-7.
Moseley signed the letter of intent at his high school alma mater, West Lauderdale, flanked by his parents, Charles and Michelle Moseley of Bailey.
"I need to thank Coach McCain at West Lauderdale and the rest of the coaches here and Coach Goode and the rest of the coaches at East Mississippi, for helping me out and getting me the connections with a 4 year school," said Moseley. "It's been a way to pay for school and I enjoy doing it, too."
Moseley has a 3.9 grade point average and will major in finance.
