Barnes Hired by Georgia State

Former Ole Miss coach Rod Barnes has been hired as the new head coach at Georgia State University in Atlanta.
Barnes was the national coach of the year at Ole Miss in 2001 after leading the Rebels to a school record 26 wins and into the NCAA tournament round of 16.
However, Ole Miss had four straight losing seasons following the 2001-02 campaign.
