PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- Chase Utley and the Philadelphia Phillies are making a return trip to the Bronx.
Utley matched a World Series home run record and the Phillies forced a Game 6 by outscoring the Yankees 8-6 in Philadelphia Monday night.
Utley belted his fourth and fifth homers of the series to tie Reggie Jackson's mark set in 1977. The second baseman put the Phils ahead to stay with a three-run blast in the first inning and added a solo shot in the seventh.
Jackson needed six games to hit five homers for the Yankees in the 1977 series against the Dodgers, setting the mark with round-trippers on his final three swings.
Utley also joined Willie Aikens of Kansas City as the only players with a pair of two-homer games in one World Series. Utley homered twice off CC Sabathia (suh-BATH'-ee-uh) in Game 1.
Aikens did it against the Phils in 1980.
Raul Ibanez (ih-BAHN'-yehz) added two RBI, including a solo homer that put the Phillies ahead 8-2 in the seventh.
The Yankees made things interesting during the last two innings as Alex Rodriguez hit a two-run double in the eighth before scoring on a double-play grounder.
Ryan Madson gave up a run in the ninth and was staring at the potential tying run at the plate before striking out Mark Teixeira (teh-SHEHR'-uh) to end the game.
Winning pitcher Cliff Lee sailed through the first seven innings, allowing two runs and four hits before getting into trouble in the eighth. He was charged with five runs in seven-plus innings.
It was a short night for loser A.J. Burnett, who was reached for six runs and five hits in two-plus innings.
Rodriguez collected three more RBIs, giving him 18 for the postseason. He could break the record of 19 when the Yankees host Game 6 Wednesday night.
Pedro Martinez will start for the Phillies Wednesday. Yankees manager Joe Girardi says he will wait until Tuesday before deciding whether to go with Andy Pettitte.
NFL-SAINTS/FALCONS
Saints stay perfect
NEW ORLEANS (AP) -- The New Orleans Saints are 7-and-0 for only the second time in team history, and the first since 1981.
Pierre Thomas scored two touchdowns and Jabari Greer brought back an interception for a TD as the Saints downed Atlanta 35-27.
Greer's touchdown was the Saints' fifth score on an interception this season, tying a single-season franchise mark set in 1998. Tracy Porter and Darren Sharper picked off passes late in the game to preserve the lead.
Drew Brees (breez) threw for 308 yards and two touchdowns, and Thomas finished with 91 rushing yards.
Michael Turner ran for 151 yards and one TD for the 4-and-3 Falcons, who couldn't overcome Matt Ryan's rough night. Ryan threw for 289 yards and a score but was picked off three times.

Browns dismiss GM...Texans lose tight end...Chiefs suspension updated
UNDATED (AP) -- The Cleveland Browns have parted company with general manager George Kokinis following the team's 1-and-7 start.
The Browns issued a statement saying Kokinis is no longer involved in the organization. The team also denied reports from the Cleveland Plain Dealer and WKYC-TV in Cleveland saying Kokinis was escorted out of team headquarters by security on Monday.
Kokinis was named GM just 10 months ago after spending the previous six years as the Baltimore Ravens' director of pro personnel.
Reports of the dismissal come after Browns owner Randy Lerner said he will not fire coach Eric Mangini (man-JEE'-nee) during the club's bye week. Lerner did say he would like to bring in a "strong, credible, serious leader" to help run his team.
Also in the NFL:
-- The Houston Texans will spend the rest of the season without Owen Daniels. The team's No. 1 tight end tore the ACL in his right knee during Sunday's win over the Buffalo Bills. The injury occurred when he caught his foot in the turf. The fourth-year player has 40 receptions for 519 yards and a team-leading five touchdowns this season.
-- The Kansas City Chiefs have agreed to cut Larry Johnson's suspension in half for making gay slurs, saving the running back about $315,000. The team apparently was fearful of losing in arbitration and decided to settle the matter in conjunction with the NFL Management Council and the NFL Players Association.
-- The Oakland Raiders say they will undertake a "serious evaluation" of domestic violence allegations against coach Tom Cable. His first wife and former girlfriend have told ESPN that he physically abused them at various times during their relationships. He declined to respond to any specific questions Monday about whether he has an anger management issue.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) -- Top-ranked Florida will be without star linebacker Brandon Spikes for the first half of Saturday's game against Vanderbilt. Rondo gets new deal...Redd out at least two weeks..Nets guard has strain
UNDATED (AP) -- Rajon Rondo (RAH'-zhahn RAHN'-doh) says he has agreed to a five-year contract extension with the Boston Celtics. That means he won't become a free agent after this season.
The deal has yet to be signed but the Celtics point guard says that's just a "formality."
Rondo is averaging 6 1-2 points and 11.8 assists in four games so far this season.
Also in the NBA, Bucks guard Michael Redd is out for at least two weeks after straining a tendon in his left knee during Milwaukee's home opener on Saturday. The 30-year-old Redd tore two ligaments in the same knee on Jan. 24 and missed the rest of last season.
Knicks coach Mike D'Antoni says guard Nate Robinson could miss two weeks because of a sprained right ankle. Robinson was hurt Saturday night in an overtime loss to Philadelphia.
A specialist has confirmed that Nets guard Devin Harris has a strained right groin that leaves his return uncertain. Harris has missed the Nets' last two games.
And the Minnesota Timberwolves have exercised their contract options for next season on Corey Brewer and Kevin Love.
NHL-SCHEDULE
Four on the Isle...Flyers beat Lightning
UNDATED (AP) -- The Philadelphia Flyers provided the precursor to the Phillies' World Series win Monday night.
Mike Richards and Jeff Carter each scored twice to lead the Flyers to their fourth win in six games, a 6-2 pounding of Tampa Bay. Carter had gone seven games without a goal, and Richards was scoreless in six straight before supporting Ray Emery's seventh win.
But the victory was offset by news that star winger Simon Gagne (SEE'-mohn GAHN'-yay) will miss six to eight weeks following hernia and hip surgery Tuesday.
Also in the NHL, Brendan Witt registered his first career two-goal game and the New York Islanders picked up their fourth consecutive win by downing Edmonton 3-1 at Nassau Coliseum. Witt had gone 92 games without a goal before tallying twice in the second period.
And Los Angeles scored three times in the final 14 minutes to turn a 3-2 deficit into a 5-3 triumph over Phoenix. Ryan Smyth (smihth) scored twice and Drew Doughty provided the tiebreaking tally with 4:51 to play.

The Great 8 is aching
UNDATED (AP) -- The Washington Capitals say two-time league MVP Alex Ovechkin (oh-VECH'-kin) is week-to-week with what they call an "upper body strain."
Ovechkin appeared to hurt his left shoulder or left arm in the second period of Sunday's 5-4 overtime loss to Columbus. He was leading the NHL with 14 goals and 23 points at the time of the injury.
Ovechkin has missed only four games since coming to the NHL in 2005.
Anaheim Ducks defenseman James Wisniewski was suspended for two games for hitting Phoenix's Shane Doan in the forehead with his arm.
Wisniewski delivered the blow to Doan's head in the first period of the Coyotes' 3-2 shootout win Saturday night.
And a federal bankruptcy judge has given his approval to the NHL's purchase of the Phoenix Coyotes.
The judge agreed to sign the sale order after attorneys made minor modifications to the deal. The league will pay former owner Jerry Moyes about $140 million for the franchise.
