Matt Meingasner had two RBIs to lead No. 1 Vanderbilt to a 4-2 win over Alabama today.
Vanderbilt (29-4, 7-4 Southeastern Conference) started the scoring in the third with two successive homers by Pedro Alaverez and Dominic de la Osa.
Alabama (19-14, 4-7) has only had two runs and six hits in this series after losing in a 3-0 complete shutout on Friday.
Left-hander Mike Minor (5-0) held the Crimson Tide to two unearned runs and three hits in five innings.
Bernard Robert (4-4) allowed four runs on eight hits in five innings for Alabama.
